A Paradigm Shift in NYC Nightlife Culture

"A 3rd space" redefines NYC nightlife by blending historical inspiration with contemporary cultural shifts, moving beyond escapism to foster knowledge creation and social progress. The project envisions nightclubs as curated spaces integrating social insights and creative elements, fostering a sense of belonging and community. Addressing capitalist constraints, a 12-hour installation explored this new paradigm, enhancing the city's social dynamic with multi-sensory experiences using materials such as EMT conduits and Chiffon fabric. Collaborations with organizations like the ELM Foundation tested these concepts in real-world settings.
